Data Engineer

City Experiences is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Data Engineer to become an integral member of their Data team. This role focuses on analyzing data from various sources, including Data Mesh, to help the Hornblower Group enhance customer experience and optimize business operations. The position is critical for developing insightful analytics solutions for both internal teams and external partners, contributing to the success of the Hornblower brands.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather and document data from diverse sources for business insights.
• Design and build data models and develop methodologies using accurate data extracts.
• Develop, launch, and maintain reliable data pipelines.
• Optimize SQL queries, reports, and ETL processes.
• Perform root cause analysis for production and data issues.
• Design user-based reporting solutions and develop dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytical objectives.
• Identify and resolve data infrastructure issues.
• Communicate analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
