Data Analyst /Architect

NC DEQ seeks a highly motivated Senior Business/Data Analyst for their Permit Transformation Program team. The DEQ enterprise operates a multi-platform data environment and aims to establish a standardized enterprise data model along with improved database management systems. The selected individual will lead data analysis projects and provide expertise on Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead data analysis projects across the DEQ enterprise
• Provide insights to data analysts, architects, and application developers
• Advocate for an enterprise data model meeting DEQ's requirements
• Offer subject matter expertise on Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, and SSIS

• Azure Data Factory experience (3 years)
• Microsoft Dataverse experience (3 years)
• MS SSIS experience (3 years)
• Critical thinking skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in technology-related field
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of database platforms: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MS Access
• Data Warehousing and data mining knowledge
• Modeling strategies understanding (dimensional, snowflake, relational, unstructured)
• Writing and maintaining SQL business rules
• Ad-hoc SQL statements proficiency
• Knowledge of ERD/Data Modelling tools
• Agile/Hybrid project execution
