KIPP Foundation operates a national network of public schools, serving over 120,000 students across 275 schools in underserved communities. This role will support KIPP Philadelphia Schools, which includes eight schools serving approximately 3,200 students in North and West Philadelphia. The Data Analyst will ensure robust data systems and effective usage of educational technology.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Regional Managing Director of Operations to co-manage student information systems (SIS), focusing on grading, credits, graduation plans, report cards, and transcripts
- Maintain educational technology systems integrated with student information systems
- Work with tech support and vendors to ensure system connectivity and account provisioning
- Audit and correct data, establishing policies to prevent future errors
- Coordinate the production and distribution of accurate and actionable reports and progress documents
- Develop and enhance staff-facing reports for monitoring academic progress
- Monitor key academic metrics and report trends
- Translate data into insights and support colleagues in interpreting findings
- Train school staff to efficiently use SIS functions and reporting tools
- Gather and prioritize feedback for system enhancements
- Manage support requests and develop training resources
- Adapt to new responsibilities as educational technologies evolve

This role requires you to have:
- Proficiency in using Excel and/or Google Sheets for data manipulation
- Experience analyzing and communicating data trends
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the education sector
- Experience with Student Information Systems like PowerSchool
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management software like Salesforce
- Ability to write and run SQL queries
- Experience with educational technology platforms
- Strong attention to detail and quality
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with Tableau or other BI tools
- Experience as a database administrator
- Experience automating processes with Python
