As a Data Engineer in their Data Management and Production Services department, you will contribute to optimizing data systems, focusing on both spatial and non-spatial data needs. This role plays a vital part in supporting the agency’s mission through automation and integration solutions.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain data pipelines for efficient system integration.
  • Develop and enhance databases and data warehouses for analytics support.
  • Implement data governance practices to secure sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with staff to identify and fulfill data needs.
  • Automate ETL processes for improved efficiency and reliability.
  • Document data architectures and processes for transparency.
  • Optimize ArcGIS environments to ensure smooth data workflows and integration.
  • Design and maintain data schemas and tune performance for large datasets.

This role requires you to have:

  • Professional experience in data engineering and database management.
  • Expertise in ETL processes and data integration.

  • Familiarity with ArcGIS Enterprise and spatial databases.
