Leidos partners with the DHS Chief Information Security Officer Directorate to enhance information security and support regulatory compliance. They are seeking a Data Scientist to contribute to a strategic Cybersecurity Assessments Contract by developing and implementing statistical and data integration solutions. This role is vital in ensuring the security and operational efficiency of DHS's digital landscape.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design innovative statistical methods to evaluate cybersecurity risk for the DHS UCMM Program.
- Build and maintain latent trait analysis models, ensuring statistical accuracy and reliability.
- Communicate DHS UCMM Program details efficiently to stakeholders, and enhance program materials and documentation.
- Assist with data integration and management strategies for CISOD programs.
- Implement data integration and visualization methods for data-driven decision-making.
- Create visual dashboards to communicate cybersecurity risks to DHS senior leaders.
- Clearly present the performance outcomes of DHS Cybersecurity Data Management and related programs.
- Refine DHS FISMA Scorecard Metrics.
- Support statistical analysis for various CISOD programs.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with defined years of experience.
- Expertise in statistical modeling, calibration, and validation techniques.
- Experience with data integration, management, and visualization.
- Proficiency in programming with languages like R or Python.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity risks and compliance frameworks.
