The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy's Center for Geospatial Solutions is dedicated to bridging the gap between policy and practice by expanding access to modern geospatial technology for sustainable and equitable outcomes. The Internet of Water initiative aims to modernize America's water data infrastructure. As part of this visionary effort, the Water Data Engineer will work with experts to enhance the discoverability and usability of water data.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Find, analyze, and share water data programmatically.
- Create data schemas to harmonize data from various sources.
- Standardize and visualize data using tools like Tableau and ArcGIS.
- Engage with stakeholders throughout the data-to-solutions pipeline.
- Communicate data-driven insights effectively to clients and partners.
- Stay informed on developments in water science and policies.
- Develop and present workshops for stakeholder education.

This role requires you to have:
- 5+ years in water science, engineering, or policy.
- 2+ years with federal and state water databases.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and API interaction.
- Experience with ArcGIS, Power BI, and Tableau.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
