Link Technologies, operating in Las Vegas, NV, is looking for a Data Engineer II to join the Enterprise Analytics team. This position is crucial for developing reliable ETL processes and adaptable data pipelines that enhance the data strategy and analytics capabilities of the company. The role involves contributing to data modeling and transforming complex business requirements into valuable procedures.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Collaborate with BI analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to address business challenges and build data frameworks.
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, SSRS, Excel, and Cognos.
- Design key performance indicator logic as per business leadership requests.
- Diagnose and create ETLs, SSIS packages, and SQL procedures.
- Assist in Star and Snowflake modeling and refine ETL processes.
- Craft efficient SQL code for data processing.
- Lead data quality initiatives including profiling and cleansing.
- Create strategies for continuous process automation of data ingestion and pipelines.
- Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing queries.
- Manage and develop Microsoft Power Apps and related solutions.
- Conduct Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing.
- Produce documentation to support data adoption.
- Identify areas for improvement within tasks and across business domains.
- Mentor junior data engineers on best practices.
- Create and maintain regular reports and dashboards.
- Standardize enterprise reporting formats for better cross-departmental understanding.
- Develop reporting structures for cross-departmental data integration.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or analytics.
- Minimum of two years' experience in creating data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Advanced SQL writing and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or Google Analytics.
- Understanding of data types, structures, and database systems.
- Knowledge of data modeling principles and data normalization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation.
- Ability to maintain Nevada Gaming Control Board registration.

- Experience with Python, R, or BigQuery.
