The Los Angeles Dodgers, a leading team in Major League Baseball, are focused on building and maintaining technology platforms for data and analysis. Within the Baseball Systems team, the data engineering group manages data platforms used across Baseball Operations, ensuring winning performance on and off the field.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Design and enhance operations for the R&D database schema and ETL layer.
- Implement and test data collection and storage procedures.
- Maintain computational environments for statistical, machine learning, and optimization models.
- Perform data quality testing and missing data imputation.
- Automate data processing tasks.
- Integrate and maintain system and database monitoring tools.
- Mentor junior data engineers.
- Prioritize project tasks.

This role requires you to have:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 1+ years of data engineering experience.
- Proficiency in SQL development and database technologies.
- Experience with Python and Linux servers.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with PostgreSQL and AWS.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes.
