Enterprise Data Analyst II

M&T Bank is seeking an Enterprise Data Analyst II who specializes in handling complex data sets to support business strategy formulation. This role involves data analysis lifecycle activities, including gathering requirements, activity execution, and design planning. The analyst will convert raw data into structured information to provide insights that drive strategic decisions.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Identify accurate data fields for internal projects by querying databases.
• Wrangle data using SQL for analysis and delivery purposes.
• Understand and document business data flows and prepare data mappings and specifications.
• Create and execute test plans and scripts using SQL and Python.
• Maintain accurate metadata and lineage using governance platforms.
• Complete user acceptance testing tasks to ensure data product quality.
• Translate business data needs into technical specifications.
• Classify data assets for regulatory and privacy compliance.
• Investigate data issues to maintain data product quality.
• Create data quality rules considering domain specifics.
• Identify correct data fields and monitor data-sharing agreements.
• Adhere to risk and regulatory standards and company policies.
