Marlins Training Limited, in collaboration with the Miami Marlins, is searching for a dedicated Data Engineer for their Baseball Systems division. This role focuses on enhancing data processes to support Baseball Operations, demanding proficiency in modern database and cloud technologies.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Refine access to information by designing and optimizing processes for data ingestion.
• Ensure data processes are complete, clean, and timely.
• Develop production-level software and scripts to automate ETL procedures.
• Maintain high standards of data quality, diagnosing and resolving issues proactively.
• Enhance and extend existing database architecture to facilitate user access.
• Utilize version-controlled code in modern repositories.
• Collaborate with the Baseball Operations team to meet data and informational needs.
• Prioritize tasks and share expertise to support data users efficiently.

This role requires you to have:

• Strong work ethic and self-direction.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Proven experience with SQL, Python, and data management technologies.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes.

You would benefit from having:

• Experience with cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of baseball and baseball research.
