In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement machine learning models for microbiological research, with a focus on deep learning methods.
  • Use high-performance computing for deploying computational pipelines and analyzing large datasets.
  • Create visualizations and document findings in scientific publications and grant applications.
  • Collaborate with BWH researchers and engage in outreach to expand the use of machine learning in microbiome studies.

This role requires you to have:

  • PhD in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

You would benefit from having:

  • Experience with microbiome or microbial datasets and metabolic modeling tools.
