The role is essential in supporting data analysis and machine learning research for these innovative defense systems.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team to develop and analyze next-generation defense technology concepts.
  • Evaluate adversary capabilities to influence defense requirements.
  • Examine laboratory, ground, and flight data to extract insights for technology advancement.
  • Engage with AI/ML research programs to create tools for defense capabilities.
  • Implement physics-informed machine learning and computer vision techniques.
  • Interpret sensor data from sources like radar and infrared.
  • Utilize Bayesian techniques for simulation-based inference.
  • Optimize models and evaluate algorithm performance in defense contexts.
  • Effectively communicate progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role requires you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or Mathematics.

You would benefit from having:

  • Proven analytical skills from academic research or internships.
  • Experience in experimental data analysis and real-world sensor interpretation.
  • AI/ML expertise in data analysis, including time-series and imagery.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools such as CUDA.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like MATLAB, Python, R, or C++.
  • Ability to solve technical challenges independently or in a team.
  • Initiative and capability to achieve project goals and milestones.
