Data Scientist Finance

MedStar Health is looking for a skilled Data Scientist in Finance to leverage data for improved decision-making and operational efficiency. This role involves working with diverse datasets and collaborating across functional teams to support strategic objectives. The position is key in driving data-driven insights and enhancing business knowledge through sophisticated analytics models.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define business questions, objectives, and KPIs
• Perform hands-on analysis using SQL, Alteryx, and other analytics tools
• Work with both structured and unstructured data for model development
• Develop and manage queries, and create datasets for analysis
• Enhance business insights through model maintenance and development
• Implement segmentation analytics such as clustering and decision trees
• Develop workflows and manage user roles and data usage
• Use predictive tools for strategic financial advice
• Maintain data integrity and support standardization efforts
• Identify and implement data automation opportunities
• Stay updated on industry trends to drive innovation

This role requires you to have:

• Experience with SQL and Alteryx
• Ability to conduct statistical modeling
• Data architecture and data mining proficiency
• Dashboard and report development skills

• Strong communication of technical to non-technical stakeholders

You would benefit from having:
