Microsoft is searching for a Principal Data & Applied Scientist to join the Time + Places team. This role aims to drive innovation in co-pilot solutions for Microsoft Calendar and Places, utilizing machine learning models to optimize time management and enhance productivity. The successful candidate will collaborate with product teams to integrate data-driven insights into Microsoft products, ensuring alignment with business goals and quality standards.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Lead development of advanced machine learning models for time management and hybrid work.
• Architect relevance and personalization models to optimize Microsoft Calendar features.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement machine learning solutions.
• Utilize Microsoft's resources for delivering impactful machine learning models.
• Define and track performance metrics to refine machine learning models.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in relevant fields.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, Databricks, Azure ML, and Spark.
• Experience with LLMs, supervised/unsupervised learning, and NLP.
• Experience in integrating machine learning models into products.
