This role focuses on architecting and developing distributed data systems that enhance cloud-native applications' performance and reliability. The position supports Milestone's mission of unlocking business opportunities through advanced technology solutions.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers to shape product features that meet customer needs.
• Utilize advanced knowledge in data structures and software design patterns focusing on microservice architecture.
• Drive project design and estimates, ensuring alignment with strategic business needs.
• Promote engineering practices that enhance testability, maintainability, and scalability.
• Mentor team members and promote sound technical decision-making.
• Advocate for clean code principles and other good software engineering habits.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities with SRE teams.
• Lead the resolution of complex technical issues and system defects.

This role requires you to have:

• Software development with over 8 years of experience.
• Proficiency in programming with Go, C++, or equivalent compiled languages.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and real-time data processing technologies like Kafka.
• Expertise in multiple database technologies and public cloud infrastructure.
