Nakupuna Consulting seeks a skilled Data Analyst with AI expertise to contribute to the strategic objectives of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency. The position requires direct collaboration with the agency's CIO to convert data into significant insights that drive business decisions. The analyst will play a pivotal role in advising on AI tools and compliance oversight within the IT division.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop data models and dashboards using Power BI.
• Translate executive data requests into actionable requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather necessary data.
• Transform complex datasets into insightful reports and dashboards.
• Offer technical support for data issues and new feature requests.
• Create and maintain documentation such as SOPs and user guides.
• Perform root cause analysis to identify process improvements.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs to ensure achievement of goals.
• Use statistical methods to identify patterns in data.
• Implement machine learning techniques for predictive analytics.
• Advise on AI-driven strategies and use of AWS AI tools.

This role comes with the following benefits:

• Potential travel to Honolulu, Hawaii for about one week per year.

This role requires you to have:

• Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint and similar data sources.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling and DAX.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Access and Excel.

You would benefit from having:

• Experience with structured and unstructured data queries like MySQL.
• Familiarity with AWS AI/ML tools like SageMaker.
• Knowledge of Python or R for programming and machine learning.
• Skills in anomaly detection and fraud detection methodologies.
• SQL proficiency for data manipulation and analysis.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, and hold a Top-Secret security clearance. An IAT II Certification is required, and U.S. citizenship is necessary. Experience in finance, accounting, or auditing is beneficial.
