The National Healthy Start Association (NHSA) is dedicated to promoting healthy communities by addressing pressing maternal and infant health issues. As part of their mission, NHSA invites a Data Analyst to join their team, focusing on the AIM CCI initiative aimed at alleviating maternal health inequities nationwide. The role is embedded within a collaborative team environment where data-driven insights hold the key to advancing public health objectives.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support their data needs.
  • Design database structures for optimized data storage and retrieval.
  • Utilize SQL for data extraction and relevant analysis.
  • Create flowcharts and diagrams using Visio for process illustration.
  • Apply statistical methods in R or Python to analyze complex datasets.
  • Present findings to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
  • Monitor performance metrics and recommend improvements.

This role requires you to have:

  • Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree with experience in Public Health, Statistics, Epidemiology, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with databases and analytical software like Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Understanding of data visualization techniques.
  • Knowledge of maternal and infant health and healthcare disparities.
  • Strong organizational skills with multitasking ability.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying complex data findings.

You would benefit from having:

  • Proficiency in community-based data collection and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with qualitative data analysis.
  • Knowledge of research methodology and report writing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
