Private Markets Data Strategy Analyst

Neuberger Berman's New York office is looking for a Data Analyst to join the Data Strategy Team within NB Private Markets. This team oversees investment and portfolio data, including acquisition, quality control, and accessibility, acting as the main point of contact for portfolio company data requests. The role involves close collaboration with various teams and external data providers.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Aggregate and analyze data on portfolios and client accounts, presenting results to senior management.
• Provide end-to-end management of investment and portfolio company metrics, working closely with the investment team.
• Support Fundraising, Marketing, and Finance Teams with portfolio analysis for investor reporting and new proposals.
• Calculate complex performance KPIs for client reporting, marketing, and performance analysis.
• Assist in implementing new data source applications.
• Handle recurring and ad hoc portfolio company data requests.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or information technology.
• 2-4 years’ experience in accounting/financial industry.
• Experience with data warehouse, data modeling, and data analysis.
• Advanced Excel (Power Query, VBA); Python experience (Pandas, Pyspak, Matplotlib/Seaborn); SQL and Database experience (MySQL, Oracle, MangoDB, Snowflake).
• Detail oriented, organized, with good analytical and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments and initiatives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You would benefit from having:

• Familiarity with alternative strategies (Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital).
• Experience with Chronograph, iLevel, Burgess, Cobalt, or other portfolio monitoring tools.
• Tableau or other BI tools.
