New York University's College of Arts & Science is looking for a Data Analyst to join the Academic Affairs team. The role is focused on developing and expanding data and assessment practices to foster a culture of data-informed decision-making across the college. The Data Analyst will also work on maintaining and refining Tableau dashboards to support departments and CAS offices, utilizing data to conduct various analyses across disciplines.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Develop shared data practices and iterative assessment methodologies.
- Partner with departments and stakeholders to promote data-informed decision-making.
- Maintain and improve Tableau dashboards for departmental and CAS office use.
- Conduct diverse analysis projects across academic disciplines.
- Collaborate with the Director of Academic Assessment and Analytics.
- Coordinate analytical efforts with colleagues across the college and university.
- Inform strategic decisions and support initiatives to enhance curricula, assessment, and student success.

This role requires you to have:
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of standard office software.
- Proficiency in data analysis with Excel, R, or similar tools.
- Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct user interviews and provide effective training.
- Competence in creating summary reports and presenting findings in non-technical language.
- Ability to articulate findings to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration skills within a complex organization.
