The North Carolina Office of Indigent Defense Services (IDS) is on the lookout for a passionate Data Analyst. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and functionality of software and database systems.
  • Provide technical support to staff.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and develop relational databases and software applications.
  • Manage SQL databases, ensuring performance, security, and troubleshooting.
  • Migrate applications to cloud-based services for enhanced scalability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Gather data from various sources and ensure the organization and maintenance of datasets.
  • Perform regular data backups and ensure swift recovery protocols.
  • Use statistical software for quantitative analyses.
  • Collaborate with research staff to turn analytical findings into actionable insights.
  • Draft sections of research reports, policy briefs, and presentations.
  • Create visualizations like charts, graphs, and tables.
