The Population Health Data Hub supports NYU's mission by enhancing research capabilities through innovative data access and analysis tools, aiding diverse research teams in their studies on population health. This role exists to strengthen these research efforts, contributing to the broad data ecosystem at NYU Langone Health.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Extract data from internal and external sources for research projects.
• Perform complex data analysis and visualization to support research objectives.
• Manage updates and maintenance of population health databases.
• Engage in training to advance data infrastructure knowledge and share expertise.
• Support research writing and special projects.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelors degree in Public Health, Informatics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in health sciences or public health
• Strong SQL, R, and/or Python expertise
• Proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau
• Problem-solving approach to analytics tasks
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

You would benefit from having:

• Masters degree in related field
• Experience with EHR or large health data
• Proficiency in GIS tools
• Familiarity with data normalization and models like OMOP
• Experience with AI/ML in health data
