Oakland University is offering an opportunity for a Data Analyst to contribute to the Advancement Services department. This key role exists to research, implement, and manage the institution's data systems, supporting strategic goals through business intelligence initiatives. The successful candidate will join a team dedicated to enhancing University processes and solutions.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Research and implement systems within University Advancement through data audits and process improvements.
- Develop and support business intelligence initiatives aligned with division goals.
- Create, update, and maintain reports, databases, dashboards, and analytics.
- Integrate business processes with data entry and maintenance to provide technical solutions.
- Participate in data governance committees relating to Banner Document Management and other distributed technologies.
- Supervise student workers handling data integrity tasks.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL.
- At least 2 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

- Master’s degree focused on analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL and database experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel features like pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

- Familiarity with fundraising tools.
