The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office is looking for a skilled Data and Program Analyst to join their Operations Division. This role is essential for leveraging data to enhance program effectiveness, generate informative reports, and improve operational efficiency through data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal teams to interpret complex datasets and support various program areas.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Conduct data validation and analyses to assess program effectiveness.
- Develop reports and dashboards to communicate findings.
- Analyze program data for trends and facilitate process improvements.
- Coordinate data exchanges with external vendors using secure methods.
- Oversee specific Unclaimed Property initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with data integrity and security policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

This role requires you to have:
- Strong analytical skills for data collection and analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Database management and data validation proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You would benefit from having:
- Familiarity with Looker or similar tools.
- Public sector program knowledge, especially in finance or community services.
- Experience in business process understanding and relationship management.
