Junior Data Engineer

The Junior Data Engineer will join the Data Technology Solutions team to support Paramount's global engineering efforts. The team focuses on enabling millions of users to enjoy web and mobile content through innovative engineering projects.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Python and Apache Airflow.
• Implement ETL processes to ensure quality and consistency of diverse data sources.
• Collaborate with data professionals to develop well-documented solutions.
• Monitor data pipelines to discover and solve issues for high availability.
• Contribute to enhancing data infrastructure utilizing cloud-native services and open-source tech.
• Manage data pipelines with Kubernetes.
• Engage in agile development activities like sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Stay updated with data engineering trends to improve processes and tools.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years in data engineering.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with Apache Airflow.
• Understanding of Kubernetes for orchestration.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Proficiency in SQL and understanding data warehousing principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
