PayPal, a pioneer in global commerce for over 25 years, is searching for a Fraud Incident Data Scientist. This role is integral to the Fraud Incident Response and Management (FIRM) team, dedicated to minimizing fraud risks and managing incident responses across the company. The successful candidate will work within the Global Investigations’ Fraud & Insider Defense organization to coordinate responses, analyze data, and support disclosure requirements.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage complex fraud incidents using data science and analytics.
- Innovate and create new processes that address cybercrime trends.
- Drive investigations to timely conclusions.
- Identify fraud patterns and root causes through data mining and connect data to recognize fraud trends.
- Develop statistics and visualizations to quantify fraud impact.

This role requires you to have:
- Proficient in BigQuery and SQL.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
- Knowledge of Python, Java or other major programming languages.
- Experience with Tableau.
- Understanding of Hadoop/Hive.
