Penske Transportation Solutions is looking for a Data Scientist in Beachwood, OH. This role involves working on multiple projects to develop predictive analytics solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate across disciplines and provide analysis to solve business problems with machine learning models.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Identify appropriate data sources for business questions
• Extract, blend, clean, and organize data
• Visualize data and address outliers or incomplete records
• Engage in best practices for model building
• Create, test, and embed models into applications
• Discuss project activities and results with the team
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business problems
• Conduct ROI analysis to determine project feasibility
• Build business cases for solving business problems
• Complete other projects as assigned by the supervisor

This role requires you to have:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
• 1+ years of experience in data or business analytics
• Experience with machine learning techniques like logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, and clustering
• Programming experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages
• Knowledge and experience with SQL
• Ability to collect, analyze, and translate complex data into actionable insights
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Regular, full attendance and willingness to travel as necessary
