Analyst III - Data Science

PODS is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to play a critical role in developing its Data Science function and technology stack. This position will involve close collaboration with departmental leaders to identify opportunities, validate value, and implement Data Science applications to meet strategic goals. The candidate will also advise leadership on new technologies and coach internal talent in analytics.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Develop an in-depth understanding of PODS' internal data and business processes.
• Build data models and algorithms to drive customer growth, revenue, satisfaction, and resource optimization.
• Collaborate with colleagues and departmental leaders to proactively suggest Data Science solutions.
• Present detailed reports with findings, recommendations, and actionable solutions to decision makers.
• Identify and vet external data sources to enhance model accuracy and ROI.
• Partner with IT and business teams to deploy automated models for business processes.
• Develop Data Science frameworks, tool stack, and market processes for accurate implementation.
• Expand knowledge on market insights and growth opportunities.
• Train and mentor the team on Data Science methods and techniques.

This role requires you to have:

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline
• 4-7 years of post-academic experience in a for-profit setting
• Experience with cloud-based technology stacks (Azure ML, Databricks, Google Cloud AI, AWS Sagemaker)
• Natural Language Processing
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and R
• ML model deployment as API endpoints or containers
• Data visualization with Tableau or PowerBI
• Experience in Agile teams
• Strong data interpretation and communication skills
