This position exists to enhance knowledge exchange across company units by analyzing significant claims trends. The Claims Control Trend group, aiming to drive strategic objectives, will benefit from your expertise. The role bridges various claims segments like property and injury, demanding collaboration with Data Science and Business Intelligence teams.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of claims trends and root cause evaluations.
- Identify both internal and external factors affecting claims, and assess their impacts.
- Lead data-driven discussions with senior leadership to inform claims process improvements.
- Support diverse claims areas, ensuring strategic guidance across product lines including Personal Lines Auto and Commercial Auto.
- Collaborate on ad-hoc analyses with minimal responsibilities for regular reporting.
- Enhance technical proficiency in predictive analytics and forecasting alongside Claims Data Science and Business Intelligence teams.

This role requires you to have:
- Minimum of 11 years of analytical experience, or equivalent educational qualifications with relevant experience.
You would benefit from having:
- Advanced skills in SQL, SAS, R, or Python, and tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Extensive knowledge of large data environments.
- Experience with P&C insurance and understanding of frequency/severity effects on loss trends.
- Past analytical roles in departments such as Claims, Reserving, Pricing, or Product R&D.
- Strong communication abilities, particularly for presentations to senior leaders.
