Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District is seeking a Planning Data Analyst to enhance its transportation planning initiatives. This position involves the collection and analysis of service data to support planning and scheduling, as well as compliance with reporting requirements and grant applications. The role also includes coordination with various stakeholders and administrative duties.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze ridership and service performance data.
- Prepare reports, maps, and charts based on data analysis.
- Forecast potential federal funding sources.
- Coordinate updates to farebox systems and track budget expenditures.
- Conduct mathematical and statistical calculations.
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide information and respond to inquiries.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Two years of professional experience in transportation planning or analysis.
- Valid California Driver's License.

- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
