In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Build and maintain data pipelines to collect data from diverse sources.
- Design and implement databases and data lakes for data storage.
- Develop workflows to process and enhance raw data.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers for analytics integration.
- Ensure data quality through validation and verification processes.
- Optimise data pipelines for scalability and efficiency.
- Implement data security and access controls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues promptly.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience in data engineering and ETL processes
- Proficiency in data warehousing and database design
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with data integration tools like Apache NiFi
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms
- Familiarity with data security and access control
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
