Data Scientist - Asset Management (Hybrid)

Securian Financial is searching for a Data Scientist to join their Asset Management team. This role is crucial in creating innovative data strategies that support operations and investment functions. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Securian AM Product Team and enterprise teams to advance data management solutions.
• Lead the asset management data store reporting layer implementation and user empowerment.
• Define and drive strategic data projects aligning with the SAM technology roadmap.
• Establish data standards for the Data Stewardship Committee.
• Work with Securian AM Product team to support data needs of investment teams.
• Enhance business intelligence capabilities using enterprise tools like Tableau and PowerBI.
• Support AI/ML projects from business case to requirement definition.
• Optimize investment processes through data analysis.
• Lead day-to-day operations of the Bloomberg environment.

This role requires you to have:

• 4 year degree in a STEM discipline, finance, economics, or related field.
• Understanding of the insurance or asset management model.
• Experience with data and technology solutions for financial services.
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, and financial data systems.
• Proficiency in Python or SQL.
