GIS Analyst and Data Lead

The GIS Analyst and Data Lead supports this initiative by managing geospatial data to address operational and policy challenges. This role involves collaboration across departments to innovate and advance the City's data capabilities.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Acquire, clean, and analyze geospatial data from various sources.
• Build and maintain data products such as geodatabases and data layers.
• Conduct field investigations to verify GIS data accuracy.
• Present data using maps, visualizations, and dashboards.
• Identify and propose analyses to support leadership decisions.
• Develop and implement standards for data collection and sharing.
• Administer GIS software and train City staff in its use.
• Coordinate with the IT team to modernize systems.

This role requires you to have:

• Experience with GIS systems, preferably ESRI Enterprise GIS and ArcGIS Desktop.
• Proficiency in data management and visualization tools like Python, R, or PowerBI.
• Possession of a valid Vermont Driver License.
