The State of Florida's Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking a dedicated Database Analyst to join their Office of Agriculture Technology Services. This role focuses on enhancing database performance, ensuring data confidentiality, and supporting various database-related operations. The team is committed to maintaining high standards in database management, serving multiple stakeholders efficiently.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Support database design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
- Conduct database query analysis, performance monitoring, and optimization.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Assist in database backup, replication, and reporting tasks.
- Ensure database access layers are maintained effectively.
- Collaborate with development teams for optimal data model design.
- Implement changes to production databases per best practices.
- Perform backup, recovery, and optimization of databases.
- Engage in 24/7 on-call support as needed for database environments.

This role requires you to have:
- Database administration and development
- Microsoft or Oracle database expertise
- SQL software administration and installation
- Windows or Unix scripting
- Database server management
- PL/SQL or T-SQL programming

Candidates must pass a background screening and possess a valid Class E driver's license. Veterans' preference is available as per Florida statutes.
