The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority (ICJIA) is collaborating with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance on the Justice Counts initiative. This program aims to collect and disseminate comprehensive criminal justice data. The role exists to support the building of an ETL pipeline for aggregating data to dashboards as part of this national program.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the ETL pipeline for data collection and transfer.
- Support the creation of aggregated dashboards.
- Work collaboratively on data metrics and dissemination.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
- Two years of experience in data analytics or BI intelligence.
- Proficiency in Python with at least one year of experience.
You would benefit from having:
- Three years of experience in data analytics.
- Proficiency in R or Python for three years.
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI for two years.
- Experience in creating automated ETL pipelines.
- Skill in writing technical briefs.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and able to pass a background check. ICJIA administers substantial federal and state grants to support criminal justice reform initiatives.
