State of Rhode Island is hiring a Data Analyst I to conduct comprehensive data activities within their Enterprise Resource Plan (ERP). The role focuses on managing and generating insightful HR reports to aid strategic decisions. The team collaborates with various stakeholders to identify workforce trends, ensuring the state’s systems and reports are accurate and secure.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Conduct full lifecycle data analytics activities, including requirements and design.
  • Ensure data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis integrity.
  • Develop predictive models and provide continuous reporting.
  • Acquire data from diverse sources and maintain data systems.
  • Visualize analytical findings and present them to program stakeholders.
  • Analyze trends in complex datasets and link databases for integrated analysis.
  • Clean data and rectify code issues.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and metric tools.
  • Assist with the development and management of the ERP report library.
  • Monitor report security and provide user training.
  • Support testing of system updates and resolve report issues.

This role requires you to have:

  • Thorough knowledge of data models, regression analysis, and database design.
  • Proficiency in programming and statistical methodologies.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large datasets accurately.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with stakeholders.

You would benefit from having:

  • Workday experience.
  • Three years of workforce analysis and reporting experience.

The role involves frequent interactions with end users and technical staff to solve complex problems and assist in fast-paced environments. Effective communication and diplomatic problem-solving skills are essential.
