The Department of General Services in Tennessee plays a pivotal role in state operations, managing state assets and supporting governmental functions with essential services. As part of the Central Procurement Office, the Data Analyst will aid in refining procurement strategies, helping the state achieve efficiency and excellence. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Research and develop data collection and analysis processes to optimize procurement.
  • Conduct and structure research into relevant procurement topics.
  • Interpret complex data using statistical techniques for reporting.
  • Develop databases and systems for data analytics.
  • Cleanse data by identifying discrepancies.
  • Present research findings to management.
  • Identify new process improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze and report savings and expenditure for contract proposals.
  • Provide strategic consultation on procurement methods and strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with internal procurement teams.
  • Manage relationships with procurement staff and vendors.
  • Represent the office in events with stakeholders.
