School Data Analyst

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Analyze local, state, and national assessment data related to student performance.
• Develop and maintain historical data files for students and schools.
• Interpret and review assessment data with school administrators and teachers.
• Compile data profiles for students, subjects, grade-levels, or schools.
• Provide training to faculty on using data to improve instruction.
• Ensure the validity of all presented data.
• Structure large datasets to identify useful information.
• Use visual tools like graphs and infographics to present data.
• Attend relevant training sessions and conferences.
• Compile course grade data and create comprehensive reports.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Education, or related field.
• Three years of experience as a data analyst or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using academic data from assessments to impact instruction.
• Experience with large datasets including data analysis and interpretation.
• Coding skills in Python, Oracle, SQL.
• Skilled in relational database methodologies.
• Knowledge of quality management and school improvement processes.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining technical information.
• Initiative and strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data processing software.
• Ability to learn new software and processes quickly.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.
• Clearing a required background check.
