DATA ANALYST, Budget & Risk Management

Tarrant County is seeking a Data Analyst to join their Budget & Risk Management department. This role focuses on supporting countywide projects by assessing financial operations and ensuring adherence to approved budgets. The new hire will be an integral part of the team, assisting in policy research and producing reports for informed decision-making.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze financial data to make budgetary recommendations.
• Review departmental budgets and financial reports for accuracy.
• Track and monitor project and grant progress.
• Monitor federal agency websites for guidance and audit requirements.
• Assist in preparing required reports and gather necessary documents.
• Enter and manage fund requisitions and assist departments with queries.
• Provide data analysis and technical support to county departments.
• Respond to requests for data and maintain organized databases.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Two years of accounting, auditing, or related financial experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and word processing.
