Tesla's Field Reliability Engineering team is dedicated to improving customer satisfaction by tackling field issues and providing insights to improve Tesla products. This team collaborates with various engineering teams, using data analytics to drive meaningful change. This role is pivotal in shaping the analytics tools and data systems that bolster the reliability of Tesla's vehicles.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Analyze service and vehicle data to identify and address field failures and enhance product quality.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize ETL and CI/CD workflows for data analysis.
  • Develop applications and tools with Splunk, Spark, Python, and Kubernetes.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Matplotlib, or Plotly for effective communication of trends.
  • Collaborate with different teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
  • Conduct statistical analysis to evaluate reliability risks and reveal trends.
  • Troubleshoot and support application performance issues.
  • Maintain and improve data systems based on business demands.
  • Work alongside internal stakeholders for continuous enhancement of data systems.

This role requires you to have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or similar field.
  • Experience with advanced data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in Python, Splunk, Spark, and SQL.
  • Expertise with data visualization tools like Tableau, Matplotlib, or Plotly.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, including reliability statistics.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

You would benefit from having:

  • Advanced experience with Spark API.
  • Proficiency in Docker.
