Texas A&M AgriLife, a leader in agriculture and life sciences, seeks a Senior Data Scientist for the Institute for Advancing Health Through Agriculture. This role supports the Healthy Living team in community-based research projects under the direction of Dr. Rebecca Seguin-Fowler. In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee data analytics research and implementation.
- Lead the conceptualization and evaluation of research projects.
- Contribute to grant proposal development and statistical planning.
- Provide statistical expertise in data analysis and predictive modeling.
- Guide staff on statistical methods and develop training.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Ten years of related experience.
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages and data visualization tools.
- Experience leading research manuscripts and securing funding.
- Strong communication skills and detail-oriented work management.
You would benefit from having:
- Experience with national data sets and composite scoring instruments.
- Experience supervising and mentoring research staff.
- Understanding of the Land Grant University System.
