The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) is committed to securing a sustainable water future for Texas. They are looking for a Data Services Analyst to deliver quality reporting and business intelligence solutions, enhance data management, and support data-driven decisions. The role involves working closely with various teams to improve business processes and data standards.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Elicit business requirements for data analysis and technical specifications
• Deliver analysis solutions and identify data gaps and inconsistencies
• Coordinate data governance efforts and contribute to the data governance agenda
• Analyze program policies and procedures for system improvements
• Coordinate user requirements to enhance existing systems
• Design and implement data analysis and reports using tools like SSRS, Power BI, and MS Excel
• Implement defect management and resolution processes
• Define and implement data standards
• Develop efficient and quality-driven data systems for M/L and AI algorithms
• Maintain confidential and sensitive information
• Ensure proper maintenance and timely disposal of files according to the agency’s retention procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

This role requires you to have:

• Graduation from an accredited college with a degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Science, or related field
• Three years of work experience in data analysis, SQL, business requirements gathering, or BI reporting
• Ability to work in downtown Austin once a week or as needed
