In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms to improve actuarial processes.

- Collaborate with business partners to refine deliverables and translate outcomes to business strategies.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of The Hartford’s data sources and business structures.
- Aid in the creation of tools to support evolving business objectives.
- Implement strategies to meet targeted business goals.
- Stay updated on new research techniques and tools relevant to the role.

This role requires you to have:
- Proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning with Python and/or R.
- Experience in SQL and database navigation.
- Experience with the modeling lifecycle from development to validation.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse audiences.
You would benefit from having:
- Familiarity with Unix, Git, Shiny, and R Markdown.
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- Progress towards professional credentials such as FCAS, FSA, or CSPA.
