The Johns Hopkins University Office of the University Registrar is in search of a Data and Technology Analyst. This role is crucial in supporting the student systems and technology sectors, ensuring data integrity, technical advancement, and business solutions. The team is dedicated to protecting student records while meeting compliance and institutional needs.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Act as a central resource on data field configurations for divisional registrar offices.
- Facilitate project elements like requirements gathering and user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate on the technical design of student information system components.
- Create and update system documentation.
- Maintain student records across various systems.
- Research discrepancies in information systems and recommend improvements.
- Provide support during system go-lives and protect student data per FERPA policy.
This role requires you to have:
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail and broad perspective.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Experience with Student Information Systems.
- Analytical skills in designing program logic.
- Ability to develop test cases and lead user testing.
- Experience in higher education information systems.
You would benefit from having:
- Functional experience with OnBase or similar document imaging software.
- Knowledge of FERPA and related regulations.
The role is exempt, with a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 05:00 pm. It is crucial to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and four years of relevant experience.
