Disney Music Group, the music branch of The Walt Disney Company, oversees all areas of music commercialization and marketing. The Data & Analytics team within DMG seeks a Data Scientist to innovate solutions for understanding how content, marketing, and distribution affect success. This role is key in transforming data into strategic opportunities through research and model development.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Create mathematical models and algorithms addressing business challenges in music, publishing, and concerts.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate the impact of various strategies, producing actionable insights.
• Develop simulations to assess business opportunities and strategy effectiveness.
• Utilize machine learning and data mining on large datasets to identify audience behavior patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with technology teams on solution development.

This role requires you to have:

• 3+ years of data science experience
• Expertise in supervised and unsupervised learning
• Knowledge of causal inference methods
• Experience with SQL and numerical computing languages
• Data mining within distributed systems
• Proficiency in data visualization tools
