Truist is looking for a Data Scientist III to join their team, contributing significantly to the organization's data-driven strategies. The role involves delivering insightful analytics to improve business performance and mitigate risks. The successful candidate will collaborate with various business leaders to devise strategies and solutions that leverage advanced data analytics.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Conduct advanced data analytics including data mining and predictive analytics on structured and unstructured data.
• Lead small projects and contribute to complex initiatives.
• Provide insights and recommendations from data for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with business areas to co-design data science solutions.
• Implement data governance practices in partnership with cross-functional teams.
• Advocate and research emerging data science methods and technologies.

This role requires you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Minimum six years of related experience.
• Expertise in banking, financial services, or quantitative risk management.
• Proficiency in statistics, programming, and machine learning.
• Working knowledge of Hadoop, Pig, Hive, or NoSQL, Spark.
• Experience managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.

You would benefit from having:

• Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
• Ten years of experience in the absence of a graduate degree.
• Experience in banking or fin-tech industry.
• Familiarity with Adobe Enterprise Platform and Graph Databases.
