Data Scientist II - Brand Marketing

Uber's Brand Science team is in search of a Data Scientist to drive insights and optimize a significant brand marketing budget. This role involves collaborating with a cross-functional team to shape marketing strategies for Uber's global brand expansion. As part of the team, the candidate will lead the APAC region's brand marketing measurement and optimization efforts, tackling challenging questions to enhance marketing effectiveness.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

• Design measurement and optimization strategies for brand marketing budgets using diverse methods.
• Collaborate with media, research, and marketing teams to provide actionable customer insights.
• Mine internal databases for patterns in marketing tactics and customer behavior.
• Work with Applied Scientists on advanced measurement and optimization using causal inference models.
• Address complex questions about marketing effectiveness and present insights to leadership.

This role requires you to have:

• Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience with Python, R, and SQL on large data sets.
• Understanding of experimental design.
• Ability to translate data insights into strategy.
