UCLA Health Careers is seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist 2 to fulfill the role of Admin Data Analyst within the Department of OBGYN. The individual will be pivotal in supporting operational functions through data analysis at the David Geffen School of Medicine. They will play a crucial role in understanding trends which aid in strategic decision-making processes.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Collecting, reviewing, and analyzing data for operational support
- Optimizing workflows for departments within the institution
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining databases and applications
- Documenting databases and applications for analysis and reporting
- Assisting with information compilation for publications and projects
- Reporting to the Director, Business Analytics & Quality Improvement
- Collaborating with colleagues across various departments and units

This role requires you to have:
- At least 2 years of experience in an academic healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Expertise in using query database and reporting tools
- Strong documentation skills

- Ability to prioritize and manage project timelines/resources
- Analytical skills for identifying problems, patterns, and trends
- Report preparation skills

You would benefit from having:

- Experience with MySQL and Oracle databases
