The University of Illinois Chicago, a leading urban public research university, is seeking a Data Analyst for its Office of the Vice Chancellor for Advancement. UIC is recognized for its diverse student body and commitment to innovative research. The role supports reporting and analytics needs, contributing to the strategic goals of the Advancement office.

In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:

  • Assist the Manager of Data Analytics with ad hoc reporting requests
  • Collaborate with the University of Illinois Foundation AIMS team for report generation and policy updates
  • Produce actionable analytics reporting for all Advancement units
  • Design and maintain statistical models to optimize activities
  • Develop reporting dashboards and visualization tools
  • Work effectively with stakeholders to understand and translate their needs
  • Analyze business processes and requirements using tools like Tableau and SQL
  • Automate audits and reports to monitor data integrity
  • Maintain technical documentation for reporting solutions
  • Participate in vendor product assessments as needed
  • Perform other related duties and special projects

This role requires you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • At least 1 year of professional IT experience in Business Systems Analysis
  • Experience with functional business and data requirements analysis
  • Proficiency in designing reports and data communication
  • Experience with relational databases and enterprise reporting systems
  • Analytical skills with SPSS, Excel, PowerBI or Tableau
