The University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research is home to the IRIS Data Team, which requires a Data Analyst to enhance their data capabilities. This position exists to support the team in developing robust data solutions for research and production reports. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with other team members to achieve these goals.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Collaborate to design, write, and troubleshoot SQL and Python programs for data processes.
- Develop SQL, Python programs, and Tableau dashboards for new visualizations and metrics.
- Engage in quality improvement activities for data integrity.
- Provide documentation and support for the data team and respond to requests.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- 1 year of experience in programming and data analysis
- Proficiency with Python for data science
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases

- Knowledge of computational and machine learning packages like PyTorch or Tensorflow
