The University of Missouri-Columbia is looking for a Data Analyst I to join the MU Analytics department. The role involves supporting institutional research and the Graduate School by integrating and analyzing data. Reporting to the Senior Director of Analytics, this position is essential for meeting the analytical requirements of the University.
In this role you can expect to have the responsibilities:
- Gather and report on institutional data to support decision-making.
- Conduct high-level data analysis, including forecasting and statistical analysis.
- Prepare and present comprehensive data reports and dashboards.
- Develop relationships with internal departments for data purposes.
- Design warehouse tables for automated reporting and dashboards.
- Provide ad hoc and routine reporting using SQL and Microsoft Power BI.
- Communicate complex data insights effectively to various audiences.
- Contribute to process improvements for the Graduate School and Institutional Research.
- Assist in setting short and long-term analytics goals.
- Maintain documentation for data management and reporting activities.

This role requires you to have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience.
You would benefit from having:
- 4 years of experience in a professional setting, preferably in higher education.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
